Hi there! I’m Jordan Willoughby, the owner of Sunshine Health Market. Shreveport has always been my home; I grew up in the Broadmoor neighborhood and now I’m raising my daughter just down the street from the store.
This community means the world to me. It’s woven into the fabric of my life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to run a business and raise my family here.
My journey with Sunshine began in 2007, the summer before I left for college. The previous owners were kind enough to give me a chance to earn some extra cash during my breaks. After graduating from LSU, I returned to Shreveport and started working at Sunshine full-time.
Seven years later, the opportunity to buy the store came along. Knowing how special Sunshine is and has been for many decades, I was thrilled to continue its legacy.
It’s been five years now, and through all the professional and personal challenges (including Covid!), we remain just as committed to serving this community. Times are tough for brick-and-mortar stores, but our mission remains unchanged: to help our community on their journey to a healthier life.
